Yvresse By Yves Saint Laurent 60ml Review
Yvresse by Yves Saint Laurent clearly made its mark in the world of fragrances. First launched under the name Champagne in 1993, it managed to please the most refined women all around the globe. It seems that they get easily hooked by its fruity and winy notes. Captivating and sensual for some, mythical for others, Yvresse is a perfume of choice for young ladies that want wear a fresh sent, for a work day or a night out. Though it is not YSL’s best seller, compared to Trésor for example, Yvresse is still a great value when it comes to choosing your new classic perfume.
Before everything else, Yvresse is a fruity scent. However, it has something that makes it a little bit different than scents that fall into the genre of fruit scented fragrances. It’s a touch of spicy, that takes it far above best sellers like Armani’s Si, or Dior’s Miss Dior Chérie. The innocence of the apricot notes that are the flagship of the scent are noted first. Quickly, however, it reveals its deepness and reminds the particular sent of a glass of Champagne in the late night. This fragrance isn’t trendy at all, it’s more of a classic fragrance that one can wanna keep on him all her (or even his!) life. It’s the original perfume that brought the scents of light fruits to the forefront, but which is still today far more complicated and delicate than its pale copies, even the best branded ones.
The “something” that makes Yvresse a little bit different isn’t just a light undertone of spice either. It’s just a shade below the apricot scent of the perfume. It adds warmth to the apricot base, and also often mixes with your natural sent, which makes it unique on you. That’s what I like most about this perfume: the aniseed, cinnamon and cumin tones that mash up and reveal after a few instants on the skin. Then Yvresse by Yves Saint Laurent 60ml goes to another level. It tastefully blends into its classic scent a touch of violet, cumin and patchouli, oak moss and another fruit: nectarine. Some would consider a scent that has spice touches to it to be mainly an evening fragrance. However, the fruit tones make it an anytime fragrance. That’s due to the sophistication and class it seems to surround the wearer with. On the other hand, it balances enough to enable men to wear it. It’s all about being cheeky enough! It’s a mature fragrance, not light and young; but a smoldering hint of warmth and spirit. Appreciation of this classic fragrance is being captured now by the younger crowd as well.
There are too many fruit fragrances, mostly being mass produced with a celebrity’s name attached to it, yet having no depth to them. Spray those as you walk out the door and by the time you arrive at your destination it’s gone. Yvresse by Yves Saint Laurent 60ml stays on you all day with one spray. On your coat, it might last up to one week! If you love to wear it strong, spray some on for the day and then another spray when you leave for the evening. How many fragrances can bring all eyes on you for so long, without being aggressive?
