The 3-Minute Weber Genesis II E-310 Review
A Griller to Show the Neighbours
By Graeme Messina | March 26, 2018
Features & Design: 3.5/5 ● Performance: 4/5 ● Value: 4/5 ● Capacity: 4/5
The Weber Genesis II E-310 is a beautifully made gas grill that comfortably cooks for 5 to 7 people. It is designed to be kept out doors and is made from rugged treated materials that should make this the last griller that you will need to buy for a very long time.
The Weber Genesis II E-310 lacks a side burner, which is not ideal if you have more than the specified number of guests over. There is a warming rack, though.
Is it for you?
If you do a lot of entertaining, or enjoy spending quality time out doors with your family, then this is a winner. The gas usage is minimal, and the cooking results are great, thanks to the porcelain covered grill.
Meet the Weber Genesis II E-310
Weber are legends in the outdoor cooking industry, and the Weber Genesis II E-310 is a firm reminder of why that is so. This model comes with the GBS Cooking grates (Gourmet BBQ System), Porcelain covered, cast iron cooking grates, an open cart design, side tables, a tuck away warming rack. The gas is situated inside an easy gas storage tank compartment, and the unit also has a proprietary GS4 infinity ignition and grease management system built in. If you are worried about longevity, the unit comes with a 10 year warranty on the burners and igniters.
What we like
This appears to be a standard gas-griller on the surface when first looked at, but, when you delve into the specifications and features, we begin to see that Weber is serious about their product line.
The dimensions of the unit’s lid are 61"H X 54"W X 31"D when open, and 45"H X 54"W X 29"D when closed. The primary cooking area of the grill is 513 square inches, and the tuck away rack measures in at 156 square inches.
There are 3 stainless steel burners inside this unit, and each is individually controlled via a specific control know. This means that you only need to fire up the burners that you intend on using, saving you gas.
What we don’t like
This unit is difficult to fault, as there are plenty of fantastic options, features and functional elements that prove that a lot of thought, effort and experience has gone into the unit’s development. It is worth noting that this is one of the base models, so some features are not present.
One of these missing features is a side burner, which definitely would have helped when catering for more than the allotted 5 – 7 guests that this unit is said to cater for comfortably. A bigger grill area might have been nice, but again, this is more of a base model, so its size is justified in a sense.
Should you buy it?
If you need a stylish and reliable griller for cooking meals outdoors, then this is a solid option for you. Gas-grillers are efficient and effective, and they look great out on the patio or outdoor entertainment area. The way that this unit cooks is effective and fast, thanks to the tight sealing lid and effective gas burner placement.
