Oneplus has the reputation of producing high quality and reliable phones. Since the flagship phone, which was the Oneplus 2, this manufacturer has never disappointed and always lived up to expectations. The Oneplus X is a mid-range phone that comes with a host of features and many capabilities. The phone is affordable and performs quite well. The Oneplus X is the first mid-range smartphone by Oneplus. It is also quite cheaper than other Oneplus smartphones, but one thing that hasn’t changed much is the stylish design and high performance. Compared to its competitors; Oneplus X is pretty decent and it wouldn’t disappoint.
What is the screen resolution ?
Oneplus X uses AMOLED display which is one of the best display technologies. All other previous smartphones manufactured by Oneplus have been using IPS or LTPS screens, however, with the introduction of the AMOLED technology, Oneplus X performs far much better than its predecessors in terms of screen display. The 5.0 inch AMOLED display produces colours that are rich and deeper. This technology works in such a way that it uses electric charges to charge each pixel on the screen thus producing better quality colours and with more contrast. One other great feature when it comes to screen resolution is the 1080p screen. This very high resolution only means one thing: the images are razor sharp and the screen brightness is fantastic. A combination of all these, produces one of the best smartphone displays that you will ever come across.
What is the design ?
The Oneplus X is available in two standard designs. There is the regular onyx design and the premium ceramic design. The ceramic design is quite similar to the onyx design with the major difference being slightly rounded edges and an extra 22g in weight. Nonetheless the ceramic version does feel more comfortable on the palm and is more stylish. Though it is more expensive than the regular onyx design, it is definitely worth the cost.
What is the battery life ?
This phone is fitted with a 2525mAH non-removable battery. The phone performs quite fast and so if you are a heavy user, the battery wouldn’t be able to last the whole day. By the late afternoon you would start to think about charging it. The phone also does not come with a wireless charger but the cable charger charges the battery quite fast. Nonetheless, for its price, the battery performance is quite acceptable.
Conclusion: Should I buy the Oneplus X ?
Oneplus has the reputation of producing high-end smartphones and this being its first mid-range smartphone, the performance and features are quite okay. Furthermore, the price is very affordable and compared to other smartphones of the same price range; this smartphone is way ahead of its competitors. This is a good smartphone to buy. short battery life, camera is not so good at low light 4
