Nokia 6.1 Plus (Nokia X6)

Features & Design: 3/5 ● Performance: 3/5 ● Value: 3/5 ● Battery Life 3/5
The Nokia X6 is a mid-ranged phone with a premium feel, with Corning Gorilla Glass being present on both the front and the back of this device. It ships with different storage device ratings, and different memory configurations for each different one. The battery is also in line with the mid-range label, which is a 3,060mAh unit, more than enough for normal use.
First things first, this phone comes with a notch. Some people love the notch, and some people aren’t crazy about it, so you can decide it the notch is a good or a bad thing for yourself. The USB 2.0 interface is a little slow, but the plug standard is a USB C connector.
Is it for you?
The pricing on this phone is its biggest selling point, and Nokia have a good reputation for solid build quality on their devices. Where you might not want this phone is where you are looking for a flagship device that you want to use for gaming. This phone will run games, but not at full graphical settings.
Meet the Nokia 6.1 Plus (Nokia X6)
The Nokia 6.1 Plus has a decent camera with average capabilities, with a single 16MP selfie camera, and a dual camera setup on the back of the device. There is a 16MP and a 5MP camera that give the phone some really good photographic capabilities. There is a headphone jack and a Micro SD slot, as well as space for a second SIM. You will have to choose between a second SIM or an SD card as you can’t have both at the same time.
What we like
The photo quality is respectable on this device, and it compares favourably with phones that are a little more expensive. There is a decent battery of 3,060mAh which adds reliability and all-day performance under regular workloads, and a nice screen that is clear and crisp to view under normal lighting conditions.
The CPU is nothing to write home about, it is a standard Octacore that is clocked around 1.8GHz and is a Kyro 260. The chipset is a Qualcomm SDM636 Snapdragon 636. The phone comes with Android 8.1 but is upgradable to Android Pie, which is version 9.
Size wise, this is a decently proportioned device. The screen to body ratio is around 81%, and the screen resolution is 1080x2280. The aspect ratio works out to 19:9 and gives users a detailed 432ppi density, which is good for viewing on the screen.
What we don’t like
For the price, there isn’t an awful lot to not like. It is a high-quality phone that is built with longevity and style in mind and offers users all the basic features that they want such as dual SIM operation, standard headphone jack, and Micro SD slot. All of these are standard features that most people will appreciate when considering this phone.
Should you buy it?
If you are looking for a decent smart phone with an adequate camera and internal components that will give you enough processing capabilities to do everyday tasks on your phone, then this could be a good option for you. It falls a little short in some areas, such as the lower camera resolutions and slower components, but overall is a decent option for most people that need an average phone for normal everyday usage.
