Logitech G302 Daedalus Prime Review
At times peripheral makers go an extra step in making expensive mice that are flashy and come with extra features that are only good for the eye but don’t make gaming any better. They have at many times forced gamers into accepting some of their flashy expensive mice that rarely get the job done. However, over the years, Logitech has been in the industry doing their homework and it seems that they have at last figured out what gamers really want.
Gamers want excitement and that doesn’t come with flashy designs, well to some it does, but generally everyone wants something that can do more than the basic mice. The Logitech G302 Daedalus Prime is a good example that doesn’t put any holes in your pocket. However, some people might quickly judge the Logitech G302 Daedalus Prime based on its price and appearance. Nevertheless, beyond the pricing and the looks, there’s more to gaming than you would expect.
The Logitech G302 Daedalus Prime is designed to play MOBA games. If you are a MOBA game player, you already know that these types of activities require ‘infinite’ clicking and several hours of game play. Logitech of course already know that and that’s why the Logitech G302 Daedalus Prime is comfortable to use and fine tuned specifically for this kind of work.
To begin with, it’s light weight and this is very important if you want to spend a few hours playing with the mouse. It makes it easy to maneuver quickly and make quick clicks thanks to its optical sensor that comes with excellent tracking performance. Although the Logitech G302 Daedalus Prime has can only produce a max of 4000 DPI, I believe you do not need the extra DPI figures as they only make the budget higher.
The Logitech G302 Daedalus Prime’s strong point is its metal spring tension system that works excellently. Of course you would have to be very keen to notice the difference in response times but well, this is a good way to differentiate mice when shopping for one.
As you would expect, Logitech didn’t disappoint in its gaming software as it’s fully loaded and intuitive. It also offers room for customization. However, you’ll only find 3 extra buttons for macros or setting up commands. It just covers the basics and so if you need those extra configurations, then I am afraid you’d have to look elsewhere.
In a nut shell, the Logitech G302 Daedalus Prime is an affordable mouse that doesn’t necessarily feel cheap and it gets the job done regardless. However, it lacks ambidextrous support and doesn’t seem like a good fit for a left handed person. With that said, the Logitech G302 Daedalus Prime is a good mouse that won’t break any records but will get the job done at a lower cost. If you prefer a wireless mouse that has a fancy design, then you should check out the more expensive SteelSeries Sensei Wireless. Other than that, the right handed gamer would easily love the cheaper Logitech G302 Daedalus Prime.
