The 3-Minute LG G7 ThinQ Review
LG G7 ThinQ

Features & Design: 4/5 ● Performance: 4/5 ● Value: 4/5 ● Battery Life 4/5
We have a flagship device from LG with some really nice technology features all wedged inside of this slim device. It features an Aluminum frame with protective Gorilla Glass on both the front and the back and is rated at an impressive IP 68 water resistance. It has a 6.1” inch display and is rated at QHD+, with LG’s FullVision MLCD+ technology. It has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and squeezes in 564ppi for clear on screen images.
The notch is probably a big downer for some people, although if you own a phone with a notch you do get used to it quite quickly. The camera specs, while impressive for a dual camera system, are on par with the competition, but nothing spectacular that sets it apart by any large margin.
Is it for you?
LG have always made stylish and desirable devices that combine technology with attractive design aesthetics, so if you like that kind of smart device (and who doesn’t?) then this is the device for you. The cameras and design are enough to make you want one, and the hardware does the same.
Meet the LG G7 Thinq
This is a stylish device that has a shock resistant frame with a quick Snapdragon CPU. The screen is the real winner, however, as it reproduces colors in a clear and crisp manner, making it one of the most detailed screens that we have seen in a while. The only issue with the device is the fact that it is starting to feel a little on the dated side, primarily because this model has quite a few features from last year’s models like the 16MP camera setup. Most flagships are going with dual selfie cams and triple and quad camera setups on the back.
What we like
The screen is perhaps the best part about this phone, it has an amazingly clear and crisp display, and the touch response is really good. The brightness and resolution make this feel like a premium device, and this is essential for any flagship phone.
The battery is adequate, although other manufacturers are way ahead of the milliamp hours, but with 3,000mAh, this is still enough charge capacity for most average smartphone users. It comes with a fast charge feature called Quick Charge 3.0 and also supports wireless charging.
The color options for the device are also quite good, with Platinum Gray, Aurora Black, Moroccan Blue, and Raspberry Rose being the most notable ones that are available. Pricing is also surprisingly reasonable when compared to other flagship devices in this segment of the market.
What we don’t like
The battery could have offered a little more capacity, even if it meant making the phone a little bit thicker to accommodate this. Persona preferences aside, the battery life should be enough for most users, but it will depend on how much you plan on using the device throughout the day.
Should you buy it?
If you want a beautiful phone with a decent camera setup, fast charge and wireless charging options, then this is not a bad choice. This device comes in much cheaper than some of the recently released smart phones that we have taken a look at, but you will need to decide if you can live with a fairly basic camera setup and a comparatively low capacity battery.
