Huawei P20 Pro Review
The 3-Minute Huawei P20 Pro Review
Huawei’s Flagship Device With Added Goodness

Features & Design: 4.5/5 ● Performance: 4.5/5 ● Value: 4/5 ● Sound Quality 4/5
This is a stylish device that has a dual glass frame and screen, coupled with metal accesnts, and as a result is really sturdy. The device itself is 6.1” inches, and is AMOLED, giving it a distinct edge over its lesser relative, the Huawei P20, the current flagship device. There is also a bump in RAM, with the Huawei P20 Pro bringing 6GB to the party, instead of the 4GB that the P20 has.
The glass build is something that not everyone will be happy with, mainly because of smudges and fingerprints, but that isn’t too much of an issue for most people. Again, the only other real issue with the overall design of this phone is the somewhat annoying notch at the top of the screen. It is far less obtrusive than the notch on the iPhone X, but it is still there.
Is it for you?
If you are looking for a device that eclipses the P20 in just about every way, then yes this is definitely the device for you. There are so many improvements and enhancements that this model has gained over the standard P20 that it is in a class of its own, comparatively speaking.
The Hauwei P20 Pro: What’s the Difference?
This device is a real powerhouse, and in order to stay in the game the Huawei has also upped the ante by installing a much bigger 4,000mAh battery, with a quick charging solution called Super Charge. This gives your device a quick burst of electrical charge in a really short space of time. RAM sits at 6GB, the internal storage is 128GB, and the display resolution is 1080 x 2240px.
What we like
The camera on the P20 Pro is truly something to behold, featuring a staggering 40MP beast. This is coupled with a 1/1.7” sensor, which although not necessarily huge by its competitor’s standards, but still good enough for some great looking pictures.
There are other good things about this phone, the good looks notwithstanding. Taking pictures at night and in low lighting conditions is also another area where this phone starts to shine.
The battery life is excellent, and best news of all, the notch can be hidden if it isn’t working for your tastes. It’s also IP 67 certified, so water and dust resistance comes standard.
What we don’t like
The only real quirks with this device comes down to the personal preferences of the physical layout and construction of the Huawei P20 Pro. Storage is good, but not great if you compare it to devices that have expandable storage.
That’s right, there are not additional slots for the expansion of SD storage. Other than those minor flaws, there are not too many issues that would make this a regrettable purchase for anyone.
Should you buy it?
If you already have a smart phone from the current generation of devices, then this might not be enough of an upgrade to persuade you to purchase the Huawei P20 Pro. If you are looking to boost the performance of your current smart phone experience, however, then there is little doubt that this phone is up for the job. It has an excellent main camera, fantastic battery, and sleek looks.
