Google Nexus 5X By LG 32GB Review
Google Nexus 5X 32 GB model built by LG is a great smart phone, relatively smaller than many in the market and with great performance and a package of many other incredible features like a finger print scanner. Its performance and features are what we have come to expect from high end smart phones, but the great news about this Nexus is its price tag. For just a few dollars less than four hundred, you can have yourself this incredible smartphone.
The Nexus has a charming design all but for one thing; the frame. This Nexus’s frame is made from plastic and this causes it to have a bad feel in the hand. In addition, it gives the phone a cheap appearance. However, that is part of the 400 dollar package; pay less, get less, at least when it comes to effort put in the aesthetics of the phones exterior. Luckily, this is about all there is going wrong with this Nexus phone. All the other features are up to standard.
This 5.2 inch phone is lightweight and can be carried in the hand or in your pocket with ease. At its rear you’ll find a scanner for your finger print which incidentally also doubles to turn the phone’s power on or off. It weighs just a little over 130 grams with the body spanning a distance of 147mm by 27.6 mm by 7.9 mm. Mounted a top this frame is the 5.2 inch display that features a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels. This translates to a pixel density of 423 pixels per inch. The volume rocker buttons are placed along the right hand side edge, along with the power key. At the front you will find two speaker grills that are slightly raised just above the Gorilla Glass 3 covered screen.
The Nexus Imprint is a slightly raised disc, silver, at the rear side of the phone and is what serves as the scanner. It has a slightly curving shape, almost like a shallow concave, and this provides a good place to rest your finger. The positioning of the scanner is quite interesting and ingenious seeing that by default, most people hold their phone with their finger in that position. As a result, the scanning will not be much of a hustle. This Imprint is incredibly easy to use and is remarkably accurate as well.
Nexus 5X features a main camera at the back of the phone with a resolution of 12.3 MP and a focal length of 2.0. The camera also features Auto focus that uses laser technology. It is capable of taking some incredible pictures as well as shooting Full HD as well as 4K clips at an amazing 30fps. The front camera is a 5.0 MP lens.
In terms of software, the Nexus 5X features Android’s most recent mobile operating system: the 6.0 Marshmallow. This makes it one among the few smart phones in the market to feature this technology. What’s more? It comes with a guarantee of consistent updates of any new versions of this operating system.
