Garmin Fenix 6X Review
The 3-Minute Garmin Fenix 6X Review
Features & Design: 4/5 | Performance: 3.5/5 | Value: 4/5 | Battery Life: 5/5
The Garmin 6X is an exquisite smartwatch, which is an even defined version of its previous model Garmin Fenix 5 plus. This one is Garmin's first solar-powered outdoor watch that is futuristic and lasting. Garmin Fenix 6X has come in with advanced multi-sport features along with GPS that renders you convenience beyond your expectations. With Fenix 6X you can step in a new era of innovation as it serves you with explicit Garmin pay and topographical maps that can transcend your lifestyle in a go. Its outclass technology can be judged by its new PacePro technology that can pace plan your distances.
Furthermore, it’s made of Titanium that most hard-to-break metal that can be found in watches. Not only is this, but its robustness in its display features also noteworthy. Garmin Fenix 6X has an exceptionally broad display of 1.4 inches that discriminates it from all others in the line. It’s a true journey and adventure companion as its battery life lasts longer than of any other device which is 148 hours. Its preloaded PacePro features come with storage of 32GB inbuilt storage that is another great plus. Without further ado let’s answer your frequently asked questions about this watch.
A drawback of Fenix 6X that is widely talked about is its display and resolution. There's no doubt that it has a finessed outlook and an enticing body but the resolution is a setback. The Garmin Fenix 6X has almost the same price as that of Apple Watch Series 4. However, a display resolution of Fenix 6X which is 280 x 280 pixels is lower than that of the Apple Watch which has a resolution of 368 x 448 OLED. Another thing that is a pinching point is its price. Garmin Fenix’s 6 series was already in hype due to its extravagant price. The Fenix 6X added more to it with having a very high price of $999, which does not see pocket-friendly at all.
Is it for you?
If you're a watch fan and if you want an all-rounder watch that satisfies among looks as well, then it’s your thing. Also, if you’re an adventurer and love to travel and camp, this is your gadget. It has a solar-powered battery that can go up to 148hours with no recharge. Moreover, its ProPace can locate you and your surroundings on the go through its smart-working GPS.
What we like
Though it's not an ordinary watch it works for everyone in almost every profession. It's capable of measuring your heart rate, monitors your sleep time, your calories and even your running kilometers. The multi-GNSS satellite system includes Galileo and GPS for keeping a check on bizarre surroundings. Also, it can be more beneficial if you are an athlete, a traveler or a swimmer. It has a navigation tracker, a GPS with TOPO and ski maps and 2000 inbuilt resorts locations across the world. Also, it has a pulse Ox2 sensor to keep a check on your fitness activities. Furthermore, it can store a playlist of over 5000 songs.
The most robust feature is the titanium body, which is a specialty for swimmers, as it makes the watch waterproof more than ever. Wi-Fi connection allows you to sync whatever you like and connect to it whenever you want to.
What we don’t like
It does not have a touch screen which makes it hard to operate manually. Fenix 6X is way too costly for a manual watch if its features satisfy everyone and special professions than the price should be in everyone's reach as well. Also, TOPO and ski navigation is hard to operate for beginners.
Should you buy it?
If you can then definitely, despite its features it will be a motivation for you to have a fitness routine and keep a check on your activities. It's a complete traveling partner for people who have wanderlust or for athletes of any sort. Garmin Fenix 6X also suffices for swimmers which very few other watches do with its titanium body. This exquisite black titanium band watch is not just water-proof but will last longer than any other device due to its durable body. Also, its 32 GB memory and exceptionally long battery life can prove to be saviors in the long run.
