Fujifilm X-T10 Review
If you’re interested in a modern camera with a classic design, the Fujifilm X-T10 is the way to go. This is the direct successor of the X-T1 camera, which was a great device at its time. A series of features have been preserved for the new camera, although most of them are fresh or improved additions that will certainly give you an advantage when you decide to take the camera out and shoot some scenes. The compact body might seem heavy, and you’ll probably be surprised to notice how lightweight the camera is, actually, thanks to the magnesium alloy build. The dials and buttons are placed conveniently within easy reach.
The camera is compact enough to be carried around at all times, but this doesn’t mean photo quality will suffer, not in the least. The X Series camera from Fujifilm are high quality devices that can take great images on-the-go, so you can capture important moments of your life even if you’re in a hurry throughout the day. There is little to no preparation required when you decide to shoot a scene with this device, although the camera is not actually a point-and-shoot one.
The AF system of the Fujifilm X-T10 has been improved over past versions, in order to make quick shooting easier. Are you interested in capturing a cyclist that is going on the other side of the street? The single point mode features a 49-point setting oriented towards precision, but the 77-point setting is ideal when you decide to track a moving subject. The results are always crisp, and the subject is clearly separated from the background of the image. The Film Simulation settings are ideal if you’re not a fan of heavy post-production work. These settings allow you to capture high quality images that look great from the very beginning.
The ISO range of the Fujifilm X-T10 is quite rich: it goes from 200 to 6400, but if you choose to expand it, you will benefit from an interval that goes from 100 to 51200. However, the expanded interval is suited only for JPEG photography. The OLED viewfinder features 2.36M dots for a high quality preview of the image you’re about to take. You can also work with the LCD screen, which has a generous, 3-inch diagonal. Its tilting capability allow you to take photos in various ways.
While using the Fujifilm X-T10, you can not only capture still images; you can also record movies and you can do so at top quality standards. The 1080p resolution is available, and this works great at 60 frames per second. Moreover, you get to enjoy clear sound thanks to the built-in microphone with stereo capabilities. If you want to control the camera from a distance, you don’t have to purchase a dedicated remote control. Instead, you can use your smartphone in order to access the camera’s features. All you need to do is to establish a Wi-Fi connection between the two devices and then you’re ready to go.
