The Best:

Dyson has been hard at work in recent years, developing and designing the next generation of cordless cleaners. The Cyclone V10 is the product of a redesign and completely new design layout, which includes a new and improved motor, better battery and an impeller that brings more power to your vacuuming routine. The airflow path has also been reformulated to allow for enhanced suction and cleaning.

The Bugs:

As with all cordless vacuums, the battery is usually the biggest area of concern. Although the battery is more than sufficient for the task of cleaning a small to medium sized house, a power cable is difficult to compete with in general. With this portability also comes a slight drop in power, which is always the trade-off that needs to be made in these scenarios.

Is it for you?

If you have a small house, apartment a car, or RV then this Dyson Cyclone V10 unit will fit in with your requirements with no problems. Charging times are good, and the suction, while not as powerful as AC or commercial units, is ample for general vacuum usage.

High Powered Portable Cleaning

Finding a portable vacuum cleaner that is light weight and powerful while retaining effective suction is not easy, but Dyson seems to have delivered again with this exceptional vacuum. The aesthetics of the vacuum are not for everyone, as there are a few different colors that is quite a departure from standard color schemes on traditional appliances.

What we like

The pistol grip is comfortable and rugged, sturdy enough to get the job done while giving the impression that it will remain in good shape for many years to come. Charging is easy to accomplish, although the unit does not stand up on its own. It needs to be leaned or laid out flat in order for it to be charged properly.

Cleaning the filter is easy to do, which filters out allergens and tiny particles in the air, which can help to combat allergies. Washing the filter is as easy as running it under the tap for a few minutes to clean it out.

The overall build quality is really solid, and the disassembly and reassembly of the components that make up the Dyson Cyclone V10 is also really simple.  The attachments are also top notch and high quality, making easy work of vacuuming and cleaning chores.

What we don’t like

The battery is not removable from the vacuum, which is somewhat annoying for many people. This means that you can’t buy a second battery and charge that separately, which means that the vacuum will be out of commission while it is plugged in.

Volume is also not quite there yet in terms of low levels, as the sound that is produced can be a tad bit on the high end of noise comfort.

Should you buy it?

If you are living in a small to medium sized house, then this vacuum unit makes a lot of sense. It is compact, lightweight and powerful for its size, which makes it ideal for both carpeted and tiled surfaces. Wood flooring is also easy to clean with the powerful suction provided by this Dyson unit. The dust catcher bin is just the right size, so you can clean up with no problems.
