BenQ BL3201PH Review
The BenQ BL3201PH is a good 32 inch 4K IPS panel that could best be used by graphic designers and other professionals in this field. It’s not the most appealing monitor on the market and it won’t win any aesthetic appeal awards but it will get the job done for the professionals who haven’t set the bar too high for an inexpensive monitor. However, you will still have to deal with a few issues such as contrast, poor port placement and somehow poor performance when it comes to dark gray scale. Apart from these few issues, expect sharp 4K images, accurate colors and an auto pivot feature to be among the benefits of this beauty.
The designers at the BenQ headquarters were more concerned about their fellow designers when working on this 32 inch beast as it doesn’t have any aesthetic appeal. It’s plain, but keeping in mind that it’s geared towards the professionals in the designing world, the appearance is one of their least problems. They would be more interested in color accuracy, excellent viewing angles, image detail and the few extras that the BenQ BL3201PH offer. Moreover, the BenQ BL3201PH comes with some extra features such as the flexible stand, a great resolution and a price to match it.
In essence when talking of the BenQ BL3201PH, you are talking of a big, affordable IPS panel that gives you great image quality and a ton of excellent features for a reasonable price. However, the BenQ BL3201PH won’t stand out because of a few issues. The contrast is poor and that’s one of the problems facing most 32inch UHD monitors. This might be a relative issue but you need to keep it in mind anyway. Moreover, the picture sharpness is below the desired levels but it’s something that you can still work with. However, the BenQ BL3201PH might have its own share of issues but still stands out when compared to other products on the market asking the same kind of price.
The BenQ BL3201PH’ s image quality is way above the Acer B326HK although they are similarly priced. Moreover, when it comes to color accuracy, the BenQ BL3201PH comes second to the best standalone monitors on the market today. With that said, the BenQ BL3201PH still remains a viable option for professionals and enthusiasts alike.
At the end of the day, your priorities will always come first and if the features that the BenQ BL3201PH offers impress you, then you should go for it. The BenQ BL3201PH is lacking in a few areas such as shallow contrast, slow IPS, digital color capabilities and a poor design. This reduces the chances of catching the eye of the consumer or deign professional, or even the enthusiast gamers. However, the color accuracy, good viewing angels and the ability to customize the monitor would still attract you to this UHD monitor given the price tag. In essence, the BenQ BL3201PH doesn’t come with the few fancy extras that shoot the prices of the UHD monitors and this means that Benq were able to make a competitive UHD monitor that doesn’t break the bank.
