The 3-Minute Apple Watch Series 4 GPS Review
Apple: Watch this Space

Features & Design: 4/5 ● Performance: 4/5 ● Value: 3/5 ● Battery Life 4/5
Apple has created the latest version of their super popular time piece, the Apple Watch Series 4. It is a great timepiece that works in conjunction with your iPhone, or without it. It has a big, clear display, an improved battery life, great performance, and a great Walkie-Talkie feature to boot.
This is an Apple product, so you can expect to pay a premium for that branding, and the technology buried within. LTE service is a little spotty to get working for some people, and the ECG isn’t quite there at the moment. How you adapt to a smart watch will depend on how much information you are able to successfully glean from the device.
Is it for you?
If you are an Apple fan and you are looking to delve into the world of smart watches, or if you are a returning customer, looking for an upgrade, then yes, this is the device for you. It has all of the features and functionality that you have come to expect from such a company as Apple, and it does not disappoint.
Meet the Apple Watch Series 4 GPS
The huge edge to edge display lets you know that this is a premium device right off the bat. It is bright enough to be used during the day time in sunlight, which is essential for most people. The device runs WatchOS 5, and also has an updated version of hardware in the guise of S4 chipset.
What we like
The watch is really fast, and opens applications, messages and watch faces with ease. As a watch, this is a great unit to use on a daily basis, and is very good as far as traditional time keeping tasks are required.
Where it really starts to shine though, is in the fitness world. It offers running stats for your morning jog, with stats such as active calories, total calories, distance, cadence, average heart rate, and average pace. This is a great way to monitor your progress when trying to get fit.
The build quality is really good, and definitely has a premium feel to suit the price tag that this watch ships with, which is great. There is a wide variety of straps that users can swap between, allowing for a greater chance for customization and personalization.
What we don’t like
There are few negatives to take not of with the Apple Watch Series 4. As a standard watch it works really well, looks great, and is customizable. As a fitness watch, it tracks your stats, monitors your footsteps and heartrate, and works very well in general.
Perhaps the battery life, while really good when compared to previous models of the Apple Watch, could probably do with a little more capacity. Most users that use the watch can expect a full day of use, which should be enough for most people.
Should you buy it?
As with most of Apple’s products, this will depend on your current technological ecosystem. If you already have Apple products on your person and at home such as an iPhone, iPad and Apple TV unit, then this is a product that will be instantly recognizable as being from the same stable of devices. It works very well, and while it is a little pricey, it is still a great watch.
