After years of speculation, Apple has completely redesigned the iPhone. The iPhone X has a beautiful screen that nearly takes up the entire front of the phone, fantastic performance, face recognition technology, wireless charging, and more. iPhone 8

No smartphone list would be complete without mentioning Apple’s (now second) latest flagship phone: the iPhone 8. Featuring Apple’s intuitive IOS operating system, some of the best performance ever seen in a phone, a great camera, and wireless charging, the iPhone 8 is an excellent phone.

Featuring Apple’s intuitive IOS operating system, some of the best performance ever seen in a phone, a great camera, and wireless charging, the iPhone 8 is an excellent phone.

That said, it still employs a dated design and doesn’t offer a huge upgrade over the iPhone 7 in terms of battery life or camera quality. It also doesn’t help that it’s competing with the completely redesigned iPhone X. Read the full review…

7. Huawei Mate 10 Pro

Huawei Mate 10 Pro Screen

After making some solid phones over the past few years, Huawei gets itself on the list with the Huawei Mate 10 Pro. This phone has some killer hardware, a big screen, a solid camera, integrated artificial intelligence, and some of the best battery life on the market. With its “neural processing” AI system, the Mate 10 Pro is designed to predict the apps you’re going to use next so it can get them ready in advance.

Despite all of its upgrades, Huawei’s software continues to be frustrating and unfriendly to new users. Its display also doesn’t measure up well to other high-end smartphones and it lacks wireless charging capabilities and a headphone jack. The LG V30 looks amazing. It’s up there with the iPhone X and Galaxy S8 as one of the nicest looking phones of 2017. After you factor in its fantastic audio, great camera, good battery life, and solid performance, there’s little doubt that it belongs on this list.

The most disappointing thing about this phone is the fact that its screen’s picture quality is only so-so. It’s especially surprising since the LG makes some of the best LED TVs around. Other than that, the software can be a bit challenging to use at times. Still, if you listen to a lot of music or snap a ton of pictures, this phone is a fantastic buy. Read the full review…

10. LG G6

LG G6

The LG G6 is an all-around solid phone. With a huge HD display, solid performance, dust and water resistance, a good camera, and a sleek, nearly bezel-less design, it has earned the right to be considered one of the best smartphones of 2017.
