Pentax Optio 8MP RUBBISH!!! - 12/27/2007 By AnonymThis camera had a very attractive menu with a lot of features, but once you fought with the thing to start up (kept getting "Batteries Depleted" message with my rechargables and even with the supplied batteries) the pictures typically were lousy. Only 30% of the pictures did not have blur or bad colour. The video mode under dark conditions was spectacularly shocking - everyone looks like Uncle Fester with dark holes where eyes should be. Movie mode allowed you to zoom in and out while filming (which was nice), but the graininess of the image made you wonder if there were bugs crawling around the people's faces - very shocking indeed! 8 megapixels my grandpa! Avoid this camera at ANY PRICE - your life and memories are worth more than this form of eternal desecration! Acts 2:38
Poor quality - 08/11/2008 By AnonymTakes good pictures but other than that its pretty bad. Batteries last for only a few shots and even new batteries seem to come up "batteries depleted." my camera only lasted 6 months and now the zoom is buggered with the lense continually being stuck in its out position. be aware of the auto setting as its only good for sunny day shots and doesnt automatically adjust to the dark
