    • The good:
Unpredictable and moving narrative for a video game, Outstanding visuals, Expanded gameplay mechanics with multiplayer features
    • The bad:
Repetitive platform activities in some situations
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is the second sequel to the hit video game Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune from Naughty Dog. After its successful launch November of last year, a Game of the Year Edition is set to be released this year. Uncharted 3 follows the story of the lead character Nathan Drake and mentor Victor Sullivan as they travel the world to unearth archaeological discoveries. One of its strongest points is the way its unpredictable and solid narrative is weaved along the gameplay mechanics. The visuals never disappoint and Uncharted 3 improves on the Multiplayer feature added to the previous Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. There is also a new melee system that you can explore. Melee System Gamers can now control Drake in a variety of ways especially in combat. Hand to hand combats with various opponents and contextual melee combinations are now available. There are also more traversal moves and gunplay. Drake can now be equipped with two firearms at most: one single-handed and one two-handed. He can also include four grenades in his inventory. Along the way, weapons can be picked up to replace the existing weapons of Drake. For stealth moves, Drake can cover behind corners and walls. Drake can also fire his weapons while moving. There are problem-solving sequences as well involving the use of Drake’s journal. Multiplayer Gameplay The multiplayer aspect of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception includes network play with both competitive and cooperative modes. There are new free-for-all modes such as character model and weapon modification, dynamic environments and standard death matches. There is also a new Buddy System that enables gamers to be joined with a random partner or a friend. Gamers can join a multiplayer game while it is in progress. Two separate PlayStation Network accounts can also play together on a single console with the benefit of a split screen. Lastly, collectible treasures are scattered throughout multiplayer maps. This can be used for unlocking characters, boosters and other items.
