   The Sennheiser PXC 450 is a noise-cancelling headphone which reduces 90% of the ambient noises with the use of NoiseGard Technology. Its audio is working at all times even without batteries. The Duofol diaphragm gives an outstanding sound. Talking can still be done without any disturbance while still wearing the headphone. Buttons are easy to operate but look delicate that are easy to get broken.
   
   The headphone keeps the user from the outside noise and the source of the music can be heard well including the different instruments that seem to separate from each other as you listen to the music. It would be easy for instrumentalists to identify their own instruments as they are being played. There is also not too much bass. However, there are some complaints about the effectiveness of the NoiseGard Technology. Complaints center mainly on the headphone’s inability to make the user oblivious to the outside world by eliminating ambient noises. There are also some performance issues due to manufacturing defects. The battery life is short. It could hardly last for four hours. The noise cancellation makes the ear drums painful. The service life of the headphone is inconsistent; others survived for a year while others did not. Nevertheless, majority of the users commend this technology and the headphone’s performance.
   
   PXC 450 is foldable for travelling convenience. It fits well in the small protective case. Sadly, this case is bulky and the cord is long. The exterior looks more of a plastic, that is, it looks cheap, not expensive. The headphone is kind of heavy and puts some pressure on the head.
   
   Overall, the Sennheiser PXC 450 is for noise cancellation that has a comfortable around the ear cushion and delivers a great sound to the user. It has a lot of critical comments because of inconsistent durability. It works well with all kinds of music genre. Generally alright except for some with manufacturing defects. The price is expensive but with the discounts being offered by stores, it would be a little less. Given a perfectly functional headphone without any defects, the Sennheiser PXC 450 is a good buy.
