    • The good:
Solid feel and neat design, Good processor, Deep social integration, Decent mobile browsing
    • The bad:
      Disappointing camera, Poor sunlight legibility

Nokia Lumia 610 is similar to Lumia 710 in terms of design and build. The phone measures 119 x 62 x 12 mm and weighs 133 g which is just right for that solid but comfortable feel any user would take pleasure with. Despite being easy on the hands, the phone's finish could discourage some as the all-plastic Lumia 610 is very prone to fingerprints and smears. The phone offers the usual 3.7" WVGA resolution LCD screen. The size would suffice for this type of phone but its poor sunlight legibility is highly disappointing. Above the screen are the logo, the earpiece and the proximity sensor. Sadly, there is no front-facing camera for video calling fans out there. Just below the screen are the staple Windows Phone keys -- Back, Home, and Search and the mouthpiece. The right side of the handheld houses the volume rocker, the Lock/power button, and a dedicated camera shutter key while the left side holds nothing. On the top side you will find the 3.5mm audio jack, the microUSB port, the secondary microphone pinhole, and the lanyard eyelet while at the back you will see the 5MP camera along with the LED flash and the loudspeaker grille. Powered by Windows Phone 7.5 Refresh, an 800MHz processor and 256MB of RAM, Nokia Lumia 610 runs well. As expected from a WP7 phone, it is not as customizable as Android smartphones and is not suitable for memory-heavy apps but does give a good performance as a WP7 smartphone. The interface is neat and manageable as well. Nokia Lumia 610's phonebook has deep social networking integration which keeps up with the times. Call quality is also good and dropped calls are nonexistent. Unfortunately there is no smart dialing support but there is voice dialing support to compensate for it. The loudspeaker does a perfect job too. The phone's messaging system is highly commendable for offering a deep social networking integration as well. There are new features available and the messaging interface has been made perfect for the social networking job. The e-mail feature also poses no problem. Again, Windows has proven that it offers a good user interface for the phone's camera. The same way goes for the Nokia Lumia 610 which is equipped with a good range of settings. However, the phone's 5MP is highly disappointing. It doesn't meet the usual 5MP image quality. The response of the camera is fairly snappy but the output contains a disappointing amount of details and a low accuracy of colors. Given that, it follows that the camera is a hassle when used under low light conditions. Video interface is also commendable but the VGA capability is relatively old already for this type of phone. Video quality would suffice for an average user but nothing much could be expected from it. The handheld offers a good set of connectivity options. Internet Explorer Mobile provides a user-friendly interface and gives a good performance. There are a number of good apps available at Windows Phone Marketplace as well to make your mobile experience better.
