    • The good:
Waterproof and dust-tight, Amazing battery life, Excellent build
    • The bad:
No secondary camera, Unsatisfactory indoor camera performance

The Motorola DEFY+ is a compact device measuring 4.21 x 2.32 x 0.53 inches and weighting around 4.16 ounces. Known for its phones being thin, wide, and sleek, this smartphone is a diversion from Motorola's usual products.

The best thing about it is its revolutionary build - the physical shell of this handheld is dust-tight, so saying goodbye to annoying particles inside the screen is no longer a problem. In fact, if you close the flaps which cover the memory card, sim card, charging, and headphone slots, the whole phone is waterproof up to 1 meter deep for an amazing 30 minutes. Its screen is 3.7 inches and comes in corning gorilla glass. While it may seem small, it packs a larger and more impressive pixel density - approximately 265 ppi. That's 10 times more than the pixel densities of most phones.

Below the screen are the standard buttons for Applications, Home, Back, and Search. The staple 3.5 mm audio jack is at the top along with the power button. For a phone its size, DEFY+'s camera is excellent at 5 megapixels with LED flash and autofocus. Outdoor shots are great though the indoor shots, despite being well-lit, may be grainy. It doesn't have a secondary camera so video calling via applications may be a problem.

Initial internal memory is 2GB - again, impressive for a phone of its size. Another plus is it can take in memory cards up to 32GB. All in all, 34GB is not so bad considering that it's just a few GB lower than the really high-end smartphones. Battery life is very impressive and is a great improvement from its predecessor, Motorola Defy. It can last up to 384 hours on stand-by and up to 7 hours 10 minutes on phone calls.

Because of its tough build, the Motorola DEFY + is perfect for heavy usage and users who tend to drop their phones on solid ground (and come the clumsiest times, even on water). The smartphone promises excellent performance and outstanding durability. This is truly one of the cheapest yet enduring phones available in the market today.
