HP LJM1212NF A4 Multifunction Laser Printer (CE841A)Printer Barn dedicated Printer specialists
The HP Laserjet M1212nf is a multi-function printer for small businesses and home offices. This is an entry level, monochrome multifunction laser printer. As such, don’t expect to find features outfitted with top of the line MFPs. The design may have cut a few corners in terms of function but still, this is an all in one unit. And getting a basic printer, copier, scanner and fax bundled into one machine more than compensates for the lack of add-on, value features. Users will find the HP Laserjet M1212nf MFP a considerate officemate, not only for the dependable functions but also for its quiet operation that does not add to the office noise decibel reading. The HP LaserJet M1212NF printer is extremely easy to set up and very user friendly. With this model, HP is introducing what it touts as its easiest driver installation ever. It's called Smart Install, and when it works, you won't even need to pop a CD into your computer to get up and running. The printer contains one toner cartridge for effortless setup and replacement. And with a black lit LED display, navigating through the printers options becomes simple. For a durable multifunction printer, the HP Laserjet M1212nf is fairly compact and will be able to print and fax at impressive speeds. The printer will also print directly onto envelopes and a variety of presentation paper to optimize business. The unit comes designed with practical print and copy speeds of 19 ppm for letter size media and 18 ppm for A4 size media. But what’s remarkable about the HP LaserJet M1212nf is that it operates on Instant-on Technology. Outfitted with the innovative instant on fuser assembly, the first page out time is pegged at less than 8.5 seconds. Set with a resolution of 600 x 600 dpi, users can expect printed monochrome text and graphics to be of acceptable, professional looking print quality. Meanwhile, the bundled scanner’s optical and enhanced resolution is set at a maximum of 1200 dpi and 19,200 dpi respectively. The unit does not include duplex printing in its features but it is conveniently equipped with a 35 sheet automatic document feeder (ADF) and a 150 sheet input tray. These therefore limit user intervention in the print and copy of documents within the tray’s set capacity. Overall, the HP Laserjet M1212nf is a good, general-purpose, mono laser all-in-one. It's neat and effective, and priced well, considering it includes fax. It's a good fit for budget-minded users who only print in low volumes.
