The GoPro HD HERO Naked is the world’s highest performance wearable 1080p HD video and still photo camera. It shoots video in professional quality 1080p / 960p / 720p HD resolutions record at 30 and 60 frames per second (60 fps in 720p). And can record up to 2 1/2 hours on a single charge and up to 9 hours total on a 32GB SD card (not included). It can also shoot automatic 5 megapixel photos at 2/5/10/30 and 60 second intervals, completely hands-free. Just press the shutter button once at the start of your activity, and the camera will record up to 2 1/2 hours of ultra-high quality photos. A self-timer is also available for those group shots. The camera features the industry’s widest 170 degree angle lens so you never miss a piece of the action. It’ a wonderful feature to have for sports like motocross, mountain biking, or skiing, where a wide angle view is absolutely necessary to capture speed and technique. Best results are achieved when capturing images in daylight. Indoor photography is rather poor, with the color taking on a yellowish cast. This has something to do with the camera’s white balance. The HD Hero camera boasts of having one of the best sound systems in wearable cameras. While some helmet cameras are plagued with wind noise when recording in the wind, this camera records only the sounds of your sports or epic adventures. The HD HERO Naked is compatible with all other GoPro camera mounting accessories, so it's very easy to expand the functionality of your camera to suction cup to vehicles, clamp to bike handlebars and seat posts, mount to surfboards, and even be worn on the wrist or chest. The camera also comes with a special housing which protects it from bumps and keeps it waterproof to a depth of 180 feet or 60 meters. This tiny camera measures 1.6 inches by 2.4 inches by 1.2 inches, which is a slight increase in every direction over the previous-generation Hero. Part of the reason for the increase in size is a large 1100mAh lithium ion rechargeable battery behind a removable door at the back of the camera. Battery life has been boosted to approximately 2 1/2 hours thanks to this larger, more reliable cell. The battery charges through a Mini-USB cable in about 2 hours when connected to a computer or other powered USB port. An integrated battery heating system keeps the battery warm in winter activities. You can download photos and videos stored on the HD Hero's SD card media (not included). The unit supports SDHC card at capacities up to 32GB. Record times on a card that size will vary depending on video format, it ranges from a little over 4 hours to about 8 hours. For continuous shooting, it can be used while connected to a power source. Although it comes with a waterproof housing, it’s more water-resistant than waterproof and should not be used for snorkelling or scuba diving. While many customers say that the HD Naked Hero takes exceptional videos, they complain about the difficulty of setting it up. The menu is not user-friendly at all and it’s best to have the manual on hand as a guide when setting up the camera. Also, the lack of a view-finder, you can’t really set your frame or know exactly what you are shooting. Overall, the HD HERO Naked camera comes with features that are considered most important – it captures crisp high definition videos and offers a variety of video resolutions and mounting options. It is also rugged, water resistant, and makes it easy to capture your adventures and share them with the world.
