   The DC29 is a barrel vacuum cleaner from Dyson with dual mode floor tool for carpets and hard floors. It features Radix cyclone which uses strong centrifugal energy to spin dust from the air.
   
   As a vacuum cleaner, the DC29 is so movable that it is sometimes hard to go straight and would normally bump into something. It seems to go wonky and hard to control. This cleaner couldn't stand straight when you park it without the dust bin in case it needs to be cleaned. It is heavy and quite stressful to bring up and down the stairs. The wand is located at the side and is inconvenient to move around since it tips over most of the time. The electrical cord is too short. The hose which is also short causes back pains. Moreover, DC29 makes an icky sound that is hard to put up with. The bristles are not long enough and not soft enough to do the dusting. It is pricey, too. Some parts that are placed on the handle causes bumps on the operator and furniture. These are some of the drawbacks.
   
   On a positive note, the suction feature is awesome. Any dirt or dust even as small as 0.5microns could hardly escape the DC29 which can surely make your house cleaner than ever. You would hardly believe how much dirt and hair it could suck up from your old carpets and smooth floors. It does a good work on new carpets, too.
   
   DC29 can clean edges which other cleaners cannot do well. The plastic and transparent canister shows if it is ready for clearing. Releasing the suction is a flash. There is an available switch to easily set the cleaner between carpets and solid floors. The hose is removable and easy to attach to the cleaner if needed. The wand is adjustable.
   
   In summary, DC29 has some positive and some negative features. However, considering the main purpose of the vacuum cleaners which is to clean the house, in this the DC29 seems to excel. Nevertheless, Dyson has a lot of products that you might find handier for your needs, different sizes and shapes.
