The Canon EOS 650D lens kit that comes with EF-S 18-135mm. It has one of the newest technologies in the photography industry, the Stepping Motor (STM) that was announced just in June 2012. It was introduced with a compatible body, the 650D, and with EF-S 18-135mm superzoom. The lens focusing of this EOS 650D is unquestionably quiet considering that zooming in and out already creates noise and tremor. The Stepping Motor (STM) makes autofocus smooth and silent. This is not only for photo shooting but also for video shooting. It is an elimination of audible unnecessary noise and image noise. That is what the EOS 650D is equipped of. However, sometimes there is a little noise when zooming with a manual mode. Moreover, it also boasts of its 18.0 megapixel for the razor-sharp, brilliantly colored images. It can also track objects in action with a 9 cross-type AF points. The autofocus speed is not very impressive, though. The EOS 650D has a Dynamic IS (Image Stabilizer) for movie shooting mode only. It gives a steady image or video if you shoot while you walk. This EOS 650D lens has a Vari-angle 3-inch clear view LCD II Touch screen with 1.04 million dot resolution that can move almost around the camera, 180 degrees frontward and 90 degrees rearward. It is even multi-touch and can be pinched to zoom or be swiped to browse through the photos. Over-the-head shots and ground level shots are now made easy with the use of this Vari-angle Touch Screen LCD monitor. This is as good as advertised. On the other hand, the default setting of the LCD screen is not that bright. You can sometimes get surprisingly shadowy images. The very flexible EF-S 18-135mm lens is combined with proper size, weight and focal length that allow photo shooters to take a wide-angled or telephoto pictures and videos. This lens is good for that and for close-up shooting, too. Its ISO 100-12,800 can be extended to ISO 25,600 which means there is less trouble shooting indoor sports events, concerts, parties and other indoor events. This camera is easy-to-carry around. The EOS 650D lens kit includes the Canon 650D body and Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6. Also included are the Eyecup EF, strap, batteries, charger and USB cable. This kit won’t leave you groping in the dark, especially for those who are just starting to learn photography, because it also comes with the EOS Digital Solution Disk and Instruction Manual CD. But, not everyone has the solution disk included in the kit when they received the package. It can be sent to you, though, free of charge. All in all, if you look for a camera that is almost a pro, then this cam if for you. Although it doesn’t have the capacity of the highly professional DSLR and very expensive lenses out there, this camera produces superb pics. Its video shooting is very satisfactory, the touch screen is high-tech and reliable, ISO is high and its processor is quite speedy. Overall, it is an all-around carry-around camera that is definitely recommendable.
