    Blackberry is still one of the big mobile manufacturers worldwide and the OEM is the biggest brand when we talk about “feature phones”. The company has released many great feature phones over the years which have ruled the market and turned Blackberry into one of most trusted OEMs. The latest trend within the company follows Blackberry Bold series which is a feature phone series in premium-range market. As it has always been, this market scenario has turned miracles for the company and the Bold series is the latest example of this.


    Blackberry Bold 9790 is the brand new entry in the Bold series by Blackberry. The phone has been launched worldwide in April, 2013. This QWERTY phone is a budget phone and it keeps the focus of the consumers on the features made famous by the Bold phones. The phone is concentrating on the youth of the country who believe in more chatting and less talking. The phone input features includes QWERTY keypad for faster input methods, you can simply type anything easily and faster on this QWERTY phone. The keys are easy to press and are enough spacious to ensure that the wrong keys are not pressed even if you are one of those who have bulky fingers.


    The phone is designed nicely to feel good in hands and the Bold 9790 is having a premium looking build of the device. The plastic used in the manufacturing is rich in feel and steals the heart with the glossy look and the premium look. The phone is lightweight and even the grip of the phone’s outer body is good to avoid slippery falls. The build of the phone is good and strong, ensuring that it won’t get wasted with just a single fall from height. Moreover, the device houses a 240x320 pixel screen on its front panel which is turning into a good resolution for the screen size of the phone. The clarity of screen is good which is of 2.4’. You can enjoy crisp quality videos or the picture slideshows on the screen. The internal memory of this phone is not too much and stays at 64Mb which is like a standard for the low-end of the market. However, the users do get the option to increase the storage with an external MicroSD card slot which keeps the memory as much as 64GB.


    The camera of the phone is the standard 5 megapixel shooter which shoots the pictures of resolution 1600x1200 pixels.  As you may already figure, there is no front camera for video calling of self-shootings. The phone works on GSM networks and houses optional feature to add two SIM cards as well. Both SIM cards run on GSM platforms. There is no 3G service in the phone; however, the phone comprises of many popular connectivity options such as GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and the USB 2.0 Slot. At this price, the phone is certainly a crowd appealing phone for Blackberry and the performance of the phone keeps the reputation of the company as good as always.
