ASUS ZenBook PRIME UX31A-R4005V i5-3317U Review
The Asus Zenbook Prime UX31A-R4005V is an entry-level laptop that is characterized by the similar features of typical Zenbooks but is made to be much thinner. This version is quite the epitome of a high-end device and a budget-friendly gadget.
The UX31A-R4005V is part of the clan of equipoised devices that are neither too expensive nor too cheap. They are in fact, in the middle of the competition getting more and more famous due to its competitive characteristics. While it still inhabits an eye-catching champagne coloured aluminium chassis, it's more than just an Ivy Bridge update.
It comes with the Intel Core i7 CPU, a distinct NVIDA 620M GPU, as well as the full High Definition 1920x1080 pixel resolution display. When you compare it with famous brands like the Macbook Air, it is said that the Asus Zenbook UX31A-R4005V is not far behind.
The Zenbook Prime is like the bigger version of your smartphone as it basically has the same features found on Androids and iPhones. The only difference is that it has the SonicMaster for the audio which makes the sound quality more significant.
This is known for having a fast boot-up, a standby time of 150 per day as well as a 2-second resume time from sleep. Even if the solid storage drive of the Asus Zenbook has been reduced, it is still a competent device due to the fact that it has the auto data backup and recovery. Physically, this Zenbook has the qualities that make it a creative device most especially because of its attractive full HD IPS display. There is also the flexible keyboard that has the Zenbook Prime’s illuminated Chiclet keyboard which helps users work anywhere and anytime. The minimalist design of the Zenbook is really lightweight and sturdy looking that adds up to its appeal.
Longevity wise, the battery life of the Zenbook is quite longer than those usually found on other notebooks. If you think that it is the usual and the typical, the Zenbook Prime UX31A-R4005V offers the facial recognition feature in which security is the main priority, thus, minimizing the risk of getting unauthorized users who use the device without any permission. Also, it is known to have a great quality control as the longevity of the laptop is quite respectable as it can last for an extended period of time.
One of the drawbacks is the fact that even if it is an Ultrabook, getting another with a much lesser price tag is not impossible. Also, if you want a more jam-packed with features kind of Zenbook, then you are better off with spending just a bit more and getting something much more high-end. Even if it is said to be lighter in form and much slimmer, it does not still come last when it comes to functionality and precision. It is everything that you could ask for a multimedia device that has the productivity and stylishness in a fantastic conformity.
But then again, that is not to say that this is a perfect device. It has cons and it still can be improved.
